‘GOLDGLASSRUBBERANDRECYCLING’

Non-traditional and recycled materials
The general theme and concept of the exhibition is to create design out of non-traditional and recycled materials: re-using already used materials, without ties to traditions or to the “demands of buyers’ taste” and with the object of overriding boundaries and creating fantasies out of the shapes and physical possibilities of substances.
The six designers/jewellery artists wish to set focus on art and design that has an in-built message about consciousness of the environment. The exhibition in the Danish Museum of Art & Design is intended to be seen as a continuation of a series of exhibitions which was shown in several locations in the Nordic countries and in Greenland between 2002 and 2007, and in St Petersburg, Russia, in 2008.
The exhibitors are: jewellery designers Gitte Helle and Jeanette Lopez-Zepeda, goldsmith Lisbeth Nordskov, textile designer Ellis Hinz–Berg, glass designer Bettina Schori and designer Lone Villaume. Exhibition architect: Mads Kjædegaard.
