‘Survival of the fittest’ – from casual sketches to the finished product

Halskov & Dalsgaard Design
“It’s all in the process. It starts with countless ideas, and then they are refined, tried out and evaluated over time as the process moves forward. Many different skills and concerns are brought to bear on the work along the way. Some ideas are discarded, others fuse together or mutate. You can visualize it as the ideas pouring into the mouth of a funnel and figuratively passing through to the narrowest point, where only the strongest – the final product – reaches the goal”.
Halskov & Dalsgaard Design provide an insight into the industrial design process from sketches to the finished product. Among the designs displayed are products from Stelton, IKEA and Holmegaard.
