Family workshop Masks
In this workshop, the whole family will get a chance to design masks inspired by Japanese tsubaer, which can be seen in the exhibit Learning from Japan.
A tsuba is a metal plate on a samurai sword that protects the hands from being hit and is usually decorated with animal motifs, since the Japanese believed that the animals were a form of protection. We will use textiles from Kvadrat, leather from Ecco and many other beautiful materials to make our animal masks.
About our Familiy Workshops on Sundays and holidays
Our family workshops are for families with children at the age of five and older. They always take inspiration from one of the museum’s current exhibitions and they offer a hands-on workshop in our Design Workshop, where you design a small object and bring it home after your visit.
