Concert The Bauhaus Project
“Celebration of New Music” is a concert inspired by music connected to the Bauhaus movement and focuses specifically on the music performed at the Bauhaus week in 1923.
The Bauhaus Project-trio consists of Swedish folk/jazz singer and banjo performer Lo Ersare, Danish classical/experimental violinist Cæcilie Balling and Norwegian classical accordianist Yngvild Ruud. Using their own adaptions and interpretations the trio will present a concert based on the music of Kurt Weill, Satie, Hindemith, Gershwin, Stravinsky, Arnold Shoenberg and Arvo Pärt, composers that were either part of the Bauhaus movement, inspired by or in opposition to it.
The concert will be held in true Bauhaus style in the exhibition ’Bauhaus #itsalldesign’ and the trio will be wearing clothes by Danish designer Henrik Vibskov.
