We are rebuilding
We are renovating the square in front of the museum. Visitors will therefore be guided around a construction site in the period May – October 2018.
We are still open
But the area in front of the museum has now turned into a construction site.
The cobbles in front of the museum are broken up, the historic gate is being restored and stonemasons, contractors and architects are working on high pressure during the summer on a beautiful restoration and transformation of the square.
For a period, guests visiting the museum will be guided around the building in front of the museum. The entire project will improve accessibility, but we note that access during the period can be done through ramps.
Parking for disabled and bicycles
Parking of bicycles and disabled parking is not possible in front of the museum’s main entrance. We refer to public P areas throughout the area in central Copenhagen. Read more on getting to the museum here
When the project is finished, both parking for disabled people and parking for bicycles will be closer to the museum.
