Designmuseum Denmark is part of the Culture Pass scheme, which provides young people aged 15-24 who are not currently employed or studying, the opportunity to experience the communities of Denmark\u2019s cultural, sports, and association life.
\n<\/strong>
\nThe Culture Pass will be launched on 30th September 2025 with the aim of helping young people on the margins of work and education connect with social and cultural communities. As a participating institution, Designmuseum Denmark offers free admission to young visitors with a Culture Pass \u2013 an invitation to explore the design of the past, present, and future.<\/p>\n

Visit a museum, take an evening class, or play golf<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Culture Pass provides young people aged 15-24 who are not in work or education access to a digital payment card that can be used for shared cultural experiences and activities across the country \u2013 whether their interests lie in sports, creativity, or something entirely different. Each participant receives DKK 1,000 per year in 2025 and 2026. More than 2,000 organisations and institutions across Denmark are taking part, offering activities that can be accessed with the Culture Pass.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At Designmuseum Denmark, the Culture Pass can be used for admission tickets and annual passes. Current exhibitions include THE POWER OF PRINT, which presents textiles by leading Danish printmakers throughout history alongside new works by contemporary textile artists; and DANISH MODERN, which showcases Danish design classics, including the popular \u201cchair tunnel\u201d featuring iconic chairs from floor to ceiling. Other highlights include the two collection exhibitions WONDER and LITTLE TABLE, COVER THYSELF! \u2013 the former a true \u2018Wunderkammer\u2019 of objects from the museum\u2019s collection, and the latter an enchanting journey through table culture from the Renaissance to the present day, with cherub-adorned plates, sugar-sweet porcelain figurines, and cabbage-shaped tureens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Who is eligible for a culture pass?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Young people aged 15-24 who are not in employment or education, or who are enrolled in a preparatory basic education programme (FGU), are eligible for the Culture Pass. Once approved, it may take up to 24 hours before the pass is activated and can be used for cultural and sports activities.<\/p>\n
