Starting November 6, Designmuseum Danmark will offer free admission every Thursday to students and visitors under 27 \u2013 running all the way through the winter until February 2026. The museum, which already attracts a strong young audience, hopes the initiative will give even more young people the chance to explore the history of design \u2013 completely free of charge \u2013 during the colder months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good news for all young culture and design enthusiasts: beginning this Thursday, students and anyone under 27 can visit the museum in Bredgade free of charge. The offer applies every Thursday throughout the period, with the museum open until 20.00.<\/p>\n

Museum Director Anne-Louise Sommer says about the initiative:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has long been a wish of ours to once again offer young people free admission to the museum on selected days \u2013 giving them the opportunity to experience our shared Danish design heritage and the trends shaping the design field today. After a fantastic record-breaking year in 2024, we saw an obvious opportunity in the winter season, when there\u2019s a bit more space in the exhibition halls.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A strong connection with young visitors<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to the National Visitor Survey, 46 percent of Designmuseum Danmark\u2019s guests in 2024 were under 30 \u2013 a clear sign that the museum is already on the radar of younger audiences. With this new initiative, the museum hopes to inspire even more young people to visit and explore the impact of design \u2013 yesterday, today, and tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Designmuseum Danmark traditionally welcomes many international guests, especially during the summer months. The museum therefore hopes that local, national, and international young visitors alike will take the opportunity to experience the museum this winter.<\/p>\n

Free admission every Thursday applies to students and visitors under 27 from November 6, 2025, to February 26, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
