Verner Panton\u2019s iconic Living Tower is an organic furniture sculpture rising more than two metres high across multiple levels. The piece was created as part of the \u201cliving landscape\u201d movement of the 1960s, which sought to break away from conventional furniture and create playful, functional design. The organic form and small niches of the Living Tower encourage relaxation and social interaction, inviting people to sit, lie down, and climb within the furniture. The piece is a clear example of Panton\u2019s vision of creating a \u201ctotal environment\u201d (Gesamtkunstwerk), where furniture functions as flexible, space-defining elements.<\/p>\n
