Poul Henningen, Koglen, 1957

Lampen er designet i 1957 af arkitekten Poul Henningsen til restaurant Langelinie Pavillonen i København. “Koglen”, som den kaldes, er kendetegnet ved sit unikke og skulpturelle design. Armaturet består af 72 blade fordelt i 12 rækker, og deres indbyrdes placering giver et totalt blændfrit lys uanset betragtningsvinkel.

This luminaire was designed in 1957 by the architect Poul Henningsen for the Copenhagen restaurant Langelinie Pavillonen (Langelinie Pavilion). The Artichoke – or Koglen (the Pinecone) in Danish – is characterized by its unique, sculptural design. The lamp consists of 72 leaves in 12 rows, positioned to ensure completely glare-free lighting regardless of the viewing angle.
