Arne Jacobsen, 3208, The Seagull, 1970

The Seagull is the last chair of the six in the series and was designed for the Danmarks Nationalbank, when Arne Jacobsen was com- missioned to design the entire bank, inside
and out. The chair’s organic idiom was a vivid contrast to Jacobsen’s orthogonal architecture. The Seagull has the most curvaceous shell of all Jacobsen’s chairs.
