15-17: PANEL TALKS WITH THE DANISH DESIGN COUNCIL

Embracing design as a holistic practice that shapes products, experiences, and communities alike, The Design Council is pleased to present two insightful panel discussions at Grønnegården, Design Museum Denmark. Each session unites leading voices to explore how purpose, materiality, and meticulous attention to detail define the modern design process—and its impact beyond the object.

15-15.45: Panel 1: Join the Design Council: Form, Purpose and Materiality

Lise Vester (Designer), Philip Linnemann (Kontrapunkt) and Xevi Gallego (MycoWorks) come together in a conversation on how form arises from intention. By embracing a holistic mindset – weaving together community, ecology, and narrative – they explore how design can transcend aesthetics to become a catalyst for meaningful, positive change.

15.45: 16.30: Panel 2: Join the Design Council: Curation, Community and Vision

Jennifer Olshin (Friedman Benda Gallery), Mikkel Grønnebæk (V1 Gallery), Charlotte Sahl-Madsen and Ditte Lysgaard Vind (both of the Danish Design Council) convene in a panel discussion to examine the roles of galleries, institutions and councils in shaping design discourse, nurturing talent and fostering vibrant creative communities.

16.30: Join the Design Council Salon

Presenting leading voices exploring design as a holistic practice with impact beyond the object. After opening remarks by Mads Quistgaard (Urgent.Agency) and Jens Martin Skibsted (Biomega and ManyOne), the Design Council invites visitors to a social dialogue on shaping future visions through design

As the day unfolds, attention shifts to the digital and the circular, with discussions centred on compliance data and recycled materials. With insights from voices such as Målbar, Muuto, and Ferm Living, the festival draws to a close with a focus on innovation, responsibility, and design for the future.
