LABORATORIUM is a series of exhibitions that shed light on the design process from the very first spark of an idea to the finished piece. The third exhibition in the series takes us inside the studio of the design duo Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen.

The exhibition 'Belongings: Affection as a Design Strategy' explores how our emotional relationships with objects can be key to more sustainable consumption. Based on the idea that we take better care of what we are emotionally attached to, the exhibition presents design as more than form and function – as relationships that can extend an object’s lifespan and create meaning in everyday life.

Like the wishing-table that sets itself in Grimm’s Fairytales, the exhibition LITTLE TABLE, COVER THYSELF! invites us into a magical world. Richly decorated plates, sweet porcelain figurines, tureens shaped like cabbage heads and drinking jugs the size of buckets.

Danish silver plays an important part in the history of Danish modern. Experience the development of Danish silver from Arts and Crafts and Art Deco to the organic shapes of Modernism up until today.
