LABORATORIUM is a series of exhibitions that showcases the design process – from the initial spark of an idea to the finished product or piece. The series looks inside the designer’s or maker’s workshop and creative universe to uncover how today’s innovative design and craft objects are created. The second LABORATORIUM exhibition presents ceramicists Karen Kjældgård-Larsen and Tine Broksø, who together form Claydies.

'The Power of Print' is showcasing textiles from the greatest Danish fabric printers throughout history, and displaying new textiles from a select group of the most skilled textile printers of our time. The exhibition tells the story of an overlooked area in Danish craftsmanship and design, and for the first time, the lavish collection of Danish printed textiles from Designmuseum Danmark is presented on such a large scale.

Danish design is known and loved – both at home and abroad. But what led to its success, which designs are central, and who are the major Danish designers of the 20th century? The exhibition 'DANISH MODERN' unfolds the story of Danish design from the 1920s until the year 2000, focusing on the creation of some of the most iconic Danish design objects.

Powerful Patterns explores patterns as an artform between art and design in a sensory universe that engages guests of all ages.

Like the wishing-table that sets itself in Grimm’s Fairytales, the exhibition LITTLE TABLE, COVER THYSELF! invites us into a magical world. Richly decorated plates, sweet porcelain figurines, tureens shaped like cabbage heads and drinking jugs the size of buckets.

Danish silver plays an important part in the history of Danish modern. Experience the development of Danish silver from Arts and Crafts and Art Deco to the organic shapes of Modernism up until today.
