Golden days: The big day

Join us for a cultural wedding in the museum’s beautiful, green garden. 

Here, five couples in love will be married by the ceremony master of the day, designer and multidisciplinary artist Henrik Vibskov, who is bringing along a group of musicians for the ceremonies.
After the wedding rituals and the obligatory bridal waltz, the design collective Ode To Shelly will take over in collaboration with the jazz duo Cort Lunde. Together with five bridal models, they will present a combined fashion show, jazz concert, workshop, and talk about sustainable wedding dresses.

The Big Day is for everyone – those getting married on the day, those dreaming of marriage, and those who simply enjoy jazz, design, love, and attending weddings.
Throughout the event, refreshments can be purchased at the museum café FORMAT.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY

The cultural festival Golden Days and ten of the country’s leading museums invite you to this year’s largest group wedding and celebration of love, as 50 unique wedding ceremonies take place across Zealand. Instead of traditional registrars, prominent cultural figures will serve as masters of ceremony, each creating their own personal take on a modern love ritual.
