LABORATORIUM: CLAYDIES

LABORATORIUM is a series of exhibitions that sheds light on the design process – from the very first idea to the finished product or artwork. The series offers a glimpse into the designer’s studio and creative mindset, revealing how today’s innovative craft and design come to life.

The second LABORATORIUM exhibition presents ceramicists Karen Kjældgård-Larsen and Tine Broksø, who together form Claydies.

Claydies work conceptually and experimentally, interpreting familiar everyday objects in their ceramic pieces with humor and irony. For LABORATORIUM, Claydies create a Christmas buffet composed of dishes shaped as ceramic works, displayed in one of the museum’s smaller galleries. The exhibition is part of Claydies’ project Ceramic Food Processes, where they craft food in clay using distinctive techniques and working methods. The presentation offers insight into Claydies’ creative process and studio practice.

LABORATORIUM: CLAYDIES will be on view at Designmuseum Danmark from 6 November 2025 to 4 January 2026.
