Flowerpot Sculpture

Since its creation in 1968, Verner Panton has played with different versions of the Flowerpot lamp, which have been issued in an expansive range of colours, sizes, and configurations. To honour the centenary of Panton’s birth in 2026, the VP1 model has been brought back to its most elemental form, stripped of its signature lacquer and here transformed into a sculptural installation. Based on previously unpublished archival sketches by Panton, the sculpture reinterprets the iconic Flowerpot design through repetition, symmetry, and layering. This sculpture has been developed as a unique, one-of-a-kind installation piece.
