EVENT
COPENHAGEN COOKING: Long table dinner in the museum garden
Friday 21 August and 22 august, 19–22
Join us during Copenhagen Cooking, when we gather at long tables in the museum garden and share meals, conversations, and design under the open sky.
As part of Copenhagen Cooking, Designmuseum Danmark invites you to a long-table dinner in the museum garden, where food, design, and conversation come together in a unique setting. In collaboration with Copenhagen Cooking, we are hosting a special dining experience under the open sky. Surrounded by the garden’s lush greenery, guests will enjoy a seasonal menu prepared by Café FORMAT and served on sharing platters designed to encourage community and conversation.
Throughout the evening, we will introduce selected highlights from the exhibition Danish Modern, which explores the development of Danish design from the 1920s to 2000. Through a presentation of some of the exhibition’s most iconic objects, guests will gain new perspectives on the ideas, craftsmanship, and cultural movements that helped shape Denmark’s design heritage.

About Copenhagen Cooking
Copenhagen Cooking is an annual food festival that takes place from 21–30 August and invites residents and visitors to experience Copenhagen through food. The programme spans the city and includes long-table dinners, tastings, workshops, and encounters with the people and ideas shaping contemporary food culture. By bringing together established traditions and new culinary initiatives, Copenhagen Cooking creates opportunities to explore food as a catalyst for community, conversation, and shared experiences.
