At the heart of the designmuseum you will find FORMAT – a café where you can sit in iconic furniture and gaze out over the museum garden while enjoying a steaming cup of coffee and a lunch prepared with carefully selected organic ingredients. No ticket is needed to visit, and the door is open every day except Monday.

The menu reflects the café’s philosophy: local and organic ingredients, with respect for what comes from afar. The result is a menu focused on local produce, sprinkled with inspiration from other places. As Astrid Dalgaard Mølgaard and Jeppe Graa, the café’s hosts, explain: “We are grateful for nature and we love food – and the special moments that arise when we gather to enjoy it.”

With an annual pass, you always get 10% off food and drinks in the museum café and a special member offer on a piece of cake and a cup of filter coffee or tea.

LILLE FORMAT

On the museum forecourt, you will find Lille Format, the café’s little sister. This is a place for a light bite, a quick snack or a small gastronomic souvenir to extend your museum experience.

WHO ARE WE?

Behind the café are Astrid Dalgaard Mølgaard and Jeppe Graa, a couple who have built a business where every team member has been essential to their journey. Their foundation is rooted in the meeting of innovation and tradition, culinary expertise from the Michelin world, folk high school traditions, positive energy, and persistence.
