Terms and Conditions

We’ve put all the small print in one place. Read here about our fee on international credit cards, our terms and conditions for “Support the Museum” and for the purchase of guided tours and educational programmes. Terms of trade and delivery:

ONLINE PURCHASE

1) APPLICATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to the purchase of day tickets, annual passes, educational programs, guided tours, events, and donations to Designmuseum Danmark via the museum’s ticket shop.

SECURE PAYMENT

Payment can be made with the following cards: Dankort, VISA/Dankort, VISA Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Union Pay, and via MobilePay.

All credit card transactions are processed on a secure, encrypted server using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. Information is transferred securely and cannot be read by unauthorized parties. All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK).

PURCHASE OF DAY TICKETS AND ANNUAL PASSES

1) DELIVERY

Once you have completed your order in our webshop, your tickets or annual pass will be sent to the email address provided during purchase.

You will first receive an email with your receipt, followed shortly by a second email containing your tickets or annual pass.

2) TICKETS

The QR codes on the tickets are scanned upon arrival at the museum entrance.

Tickets are valid for one year from the purchase date and allow entry for one full day when scanned.
Tickets are not date-specific and are non-refundable.

3) ANNUAL PASS

When purchasing an annual pass, you can collect your physical card at the ticket desk or in the museum shop.

The annual pass is personal and may only be used by the person whose name appears on the card. It cannot be lent or transferred to others. If the card is used by someone else, it may be confiscated, and an admission fee may be charged.

The email address provided will be used to send information about your membership as well as newsletters, including offers related to the annual pass. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

The annual pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Annual Pass as a Gift

Gift annual passes are only activated from the day they are scanned and redeemed at the museum. Gift passes cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.

4) RETURNS AND RIGHTS OF WITHDRAWEL 

There is no right of withdrawal for tickets.

Annual Pass

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase of an annual pass within 14 days without providing a reason. To be eligible for withdrawal, the annual pass must not have been scanned at the entrance and therefore must not have been used. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us with a clear statement (e.g. by letter or email). The withdrawal deadline is met if you send your notice before the 14-day period expires. Please include your invoice and the annual pass barcode when contacting us.

LEARNING

1) ORDER CONFIRMATION

When booking an educational program, an order confirmation will be sent via email. The program is only considered booked once the confirmation is received.

2) CANCELLATION POLICY

If an educational program is canceled at least four days before it was scheduled, there is no charge. If canceled later, the full price will be charged.

If Designmuseum Danmark cancels: The museum reserves the right to cancel due to illness and will contact affected parties by phone or email. Any amount paid will be refunded.

3) CHANGES

Designmuseum Danmark reserves the right for errors in prices, printing mistakes, and discontinued programs. The right to make changes is reserved.

4) RESPONSIBILITY

It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure the class is ready at the scheduled start time. If the class arrives late, the museum reserves the right to maintain the planned end time.

Guided tour tickets are non-refundable in case of absence or late arrival.

5) INVOICE VIA EAN/CVR

Payment via EAN number requires the customer to be a public authority or institution.

For payment via invoice with CVR number, the company’s CVR number must be provided.

GUIDED TOURS

1) BOOKING

Guided tours must be booked at least two days in advance.

The price for the tour does not include museum admission.

Admission tickets can be purchased via the webshop or at the desk upon arrival.

Groups must arrive and pay together to receive a group discount on admission.

2) ORDER CONFIRMATION

When booking a guided tour online, an order confirmation will be sent by email.

The tour is only considered booked once the confirmation is received.

Please bring the confirmation and any online tickets ready for scanning upon arrival.

3) CANCELLATION POLICY

If canceled less than 24 hours before the tour, the full price will be charged.

If canceled at least 24 hours before the tour, the full amount will be refunded.

If canceled by the museum: The museum reserves the right to cancel due to illness. Affected parties will be contacted, and any amount paid will be refunded.

4) CHANGES

Errors in prices, printing mistakes, and discontinued programs are subject to change.

5) RESPONSIBILITY

Groups must be ready at the agreed start time. In case of late arrival, the museum reserves the right to maintain the planned end time.

Guided tour tickets are non-refundable in case of absence or late arrival.

6) INVOICE VIA EAN/CVR

Payment via EAN number requires a public authority or institution.
For payment via CVR, the company’s CVR number must be provided.

SUPPORT THE MUSEUM

Even a small contribution can make a big difference. Donations help ensure that Designmuseum Danmark can continue to develop exciting exhibitions and preserve the museum’s collections.

1) DONATION

After approval of contact details, the donor is redirected to the payment module. When card details are entered and payment is approved, the specified amount is charged once. Donations are non-refundable.

2) TAX DEDUCTION

Donations are tax-deductible. By providing a CPR number during the donation, the museum ensures reporting to SKAT. All personal data is treated confidentially and stored securely. Data is transferred via an SSL-encrypted secure connection.

By providing a CPR number, consent is given for the information to be shared with tax authorities so that tax deductions can be obtained in accordance with Section 8A of the Danish Tax Act.

EVENTS

When purchasing a ticket for an event, an order confirmation and ticket will be sent by email. The purchase is only considered complete once the confirmation is received.

Event tickets only grant access to the specific event at the stated time unless otherwise indicated on the ticket. Event tickets do not grant general access to the museum unless otherwise stated.

Tickets are only refundable in case of cancellation by the organizer.
