DESIGNMUSEUM DENMARK'S DIRECTOR JOINS THE BOARD OF NEW CARLSBERG FOUNDATION
Museum Director Anne-Louise Sommer has recently joined the board of New Carlsberg Foundation. As a board member, she will contribute to the foundation’s work in strengthening the role of art in society and ensuring the foundation’s continued development in the years to come.
Anne-Louise Sommer, who has been the long-serving director of Designmuseum Danmark, has been appointed to the position of board member of New Carlsberg Foundation. New Carlsberg Foundation was established in 1902 by the brewer, art collector and philanthropist Carl Jacobsen and his wife Ottilia Jacobsen and is funded by the profits from Carlsberg A/S. Today, the foundation continues to work towards realising the brewer’s vision of making art accessible to the widest possible audience.
It is Carlsberg Foundation that appoints the members of the Ny Carlsberg Foundation’s board:

New Carlsberg Foundation’s board is composed of Chairperson and Rector of the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, Sanne Kofod Olsen, Director of Kunstmuseum Brandts, Stine Høholt, Head of the exhibition space Tranen, Toke Lykkeberg, CEO of Kvadrat A/S, Anders Byriel, and Director of Designmuseum Danmark, Anne-Louise Sommer.
