What happens to a well-loved cloth napkin or a worn-out tablecloth from the restaurants in the Tivoli Gardens once it’s reached the end of its service?

In our family workshop, these old textiles get a new lease on life as we roll up our sleeves and transform discarded materials into personal designs.

The tables are filled with colourful recycled fabrics from Textilia (formerly De Forenede Dampvaskerier A/S), and the focus is on rediscovering the value in what others have thrown away. Using simple, classic craft techniques, both children and adults can create their own unique textile flowers. You can design up to three flowers, gathered into a small, everlasting bouquet you can take home.

The workshop is a creative sanctuary for slowing down, where there is time to practise, feel the materials, and play with colours and combinations.
