Dreams and Dilemmas of the Home in a Changing Climate
ANYBODY HOME
How can we live well without overconsuming the planet’s limited resources? Anybody Home invites visitors into an immersive and engaging exhibition universe featuring works by a number of prominent artists and designers. Through a moving, poetic and at times absurd narrative about the good life, the exhibition explores the dilemmas associated with our homes and everyday lives in a changing climate.
Our homes have a significant impact on the climate. Yet this is rarely something we consider when decorating our homes, renovating or dreaming of more space. The exhibition Anybody Home explores the human and societal mechanisms that shape our ideas about the home and the good life. More specifically, the exhibition takes a closer look at our patterns of behaviour and the way we live in our homes, asking questions such as: When do we have enough space? What does comfort really mean? And can technology and politics solve the problems for us?
The exhibition has been developed in collaboration with a number of researchers from, among others, Aalborg University (BUILD), the Royal Danish Academy and the University of Copenhagen.
Anybody Home has been made possible with generous support from Realdania.
