Green Attraction

Sustainability

In 2024, Designmuseum Danmark was certified as a Green Attraction and joined the Green Museum Academy.

Sustainability is a central agenda in the design field. As a responsible museum, we strive to protect the environment and nature, to communicate the potential of green transition, and to inspire discussion and new behaviors among users, practitioners, and producers within design.

We:

  • Conserve natural resources and aim to minimize our environmental impact.
  • Continuously explore new knowledge and technology to enhance environmental protection.
  • Implement initiatives and use products that save energy and water.
  • Inform our guests and staff on ways to care for the environment.
  • Ensure a high level of recycling and waste reduction.
  • Encourage our suppliers to meet our environmental standards.
  • Adhere to Green Key criteria and actively work with its recommendations.

As part of our 2030 strategy, we also aim to promote design’s sustainable potential through various communication formats.

What can you do as a guest?

What can you do as a supplier?

As a certified Green Attraction, we meet numerous criteria for eco-friendly operations and continuously set higher standards for our suppliers, giving them a chance to contribute to these efforts. We welcome partners who are proactive about environmental efforts and constantly work to reduce the environmental impact of their products or services. This can include minimizing water, energy, and chemical usage, using less and eco-friendlier packaging, selecting sustainable transport, and more.
