NEW TALK PAVILION BY HENRIK VIBSKOV
Acclaimed designer and artist Henrik Vibskov has created a new large-scale installation for 3daysofdesign at Designmuseum Danmark, serving as a spectacular centerpiece for the event’s three-day program. Visit the museum garden and experience The Umbrico Spiral.
This year’s Copenhagen design festival is currently underway. At Designmuseum Danmark, visitors can enjoy an extensive event program in the museum’s green garden, which this year features a very special gathering point: a large sculptural installation titled The Umbrico Spiral, created by Henrik Vibskov.
A Unique Pavilion Stage
Henrik Vibskov is one of Denmark’s most prominent and cross-disciplinary figures in contemporary design, fashion, and art. For more than 25 years, he has developed a distinctive and expressive universe in which music, scenography, costumes, exhibitions, installations, and fashion continually intersect and inspire one another in surprising and exploratory ways. Vibskov created the new installation especially for 3daysofdesign at Designmuseum Danmark. During the festival’s three days, the large pavilion will serve as a stage for talks, concerts, and debates in the museum garden.
Major Exhibition This Autumn
In September, Henrik Vibskov will be the subject of a major exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark. For the first time, the exhibition will present not only Vibskov’s works, but also the stories behind them – the missteps and lucky breaks that have fueled new ideas and directions throughout his career.
As a prelude to the exhibition, visitors can experience the new pavilion installation in the garden from 10 June onwards. In the lead-up to the exhibition, a number of Henrik Vibskov’s sculptures will also move into the museum garden.
