11:00: Pavilion opening by Henrik Vibskov

We kick off 3daysofdesign together with Museum Director Anne-Louise Sommer, Deputy Director Kristian Rise, and designer Henrik Vibskov. Hear the thoughts behind the pavilion and what you can experience at Designmuseum Denmark during the festival.

11:30–12:30: Belonging through design
Is it possible to design emotional attachment, or does it only emerge over time? Danish Design Center hosts an engaging talk on materials, responsibility, and the evolution of Danish design DNA. The panel explores how authenticity and craftsmanship create lasting value in a changing world.

Panelists:
Mads Twomey-Madsen, SVP for Global Communication and Sustainability / Pandora
Birthe Tofting, Sales and Marketing Director / VOLA
Else Skjold, Associate Professor and PhD in Design and Sustainability / Royal Danish Academy
Julia Lahme, Ethnologist and Trend Researcher

13:00–13:45: Design, what the hell?!
Jan Gehl and Pil Bredahl examine the role of design in a time shaped by climate impact and shifting values. The conversation explores how design shapes society, behaviour, and systems, and reflects on its ethical responsibility beyond aesthetics, novelty, and production.

Panelists:
Jan Gehl, Founder / Gehl Architects
Pil Bredahl, Founder / Pil Bredahl Design

14:00–14:45: Zero Waste – what is the future of Danish furniture design?
Leading voices in the Danish furniture industry present their experiments with zero-waste design. How can zero waste be not only a technical approach, but also a cultural stance on what we value and preserve? How does zero-waste thinking reshape the design process—from the first sketch to decisions about a product’s final lifecycle?

Panelists:
Patrick Runge Clausen, Head of Sustainability and Compliance / Fritz Hansen
Jens Nørgaard, Product Manager / Bolia
Linda Nhu Laursen, Head of Design Research / AAU Design Lab
Moderator: Ole Huld / Designmuseum Denmark

15:00–15:45: DPP – Data for business – from compliance to competitiveness
The EU’s Digital Product Passport is more than compliance. Nordic frontrunners show how DPP turns data into business value: stronger positioning, new revenue streams, and better decision-making. The talk presents concrete cases of how data becomes a competitive advantage.

Panelists:
Heidi Bøjlesen, Digitization and Master Data Manager / HolmrisB8
Heidi Svane, Head of Digital / Lifestyle and Design Cluster
Jacob Strand, Product Development / Gärsnäs
Johan Lindau, Owner / Blå Station
Moderator: Frederik Thrane, Head of Circular Economy / Lifestyle and Design Cluster

16:00–16:45: Social gathering and networking
After the day’s talks, we invite you to a relaxed networking session. Meet the panelists, ask questions, and enjoy a drink with peers from the industry—an ideal opportunity to deepen the dialogue and build new connections.

Hosts: Formland, Lifestyle and Design Cluster, and Aalborg University.

18:00–18:45: The great material shift with Henrik Vibskov
Professor Marie-Louise Nosch and Artistic Director of Betty Nansen Theatre, Eva Præstin, welcome you to a talk show where we openly discuss our relationship with design, textiles, and clothing, and explore the tension between our desire for beauty, craftsmanship, and materials and the realities of global climate change.

After the talk, Henrik Vibskov and his guest will make a musical performance.
