Guide to Verner Panton at Designmuseum Danmark
Cloverleaf Sofa, 1969
The Cloverleaf sofa was first presented at the Visiona II exhibition in Cologne in early 1970. The piece stands as one of Verner Panton’s most evocative works, where form and function merge seamlessly into a unified whole. With its flowing, organic shapes, the sofa consists of four different modules that can be combined in countless ways, making each configuration unique. Verner Panton’s sculptural furniture challenged – both then and now – conventional notions of furniture design and seating comfort.
