Experience the Nganga Trio with a secret guest from Cuba in an atmospheric jazz concert under the old linden trees in the garden of the Designmuseum Danmark as part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

Denmark’s most recorded musician, percussionist Rune Harder Olesen, together with his wife, the charismatic Cuban singer/dancer Raisa Castro, formed the band Nganga (which in Bantu means both spiritual healer and musician). For this concert, they have invited a secret guest from Cuba. Look forward to an afternoon with powerful and swinging rhythms from the Afro-Cuban folklore tradition with world-class kora playing. At the FORMAT museum café’s outdoor seating, you can enjoy cold/hot drinks or get something to eat during the concert.

Line Up:

Rune Harder Olesen: Percussion
Raisa Castro: Vocals/Percussion
Dawda Jobarteh: Kora
