K7 – SEVEN DAYS OF FREE CULTURE FOR YOUTHS
12 - 17 September 2023
Throughout week 37, young people aged 18-27 have free access to 180 museums and exhibition venues across the country with the K7 campaign – including Designmuseum Danmark. All you have to do is turn up at the museum or exhibition venue and bring the free, personal K7 card on your phone.
You can create your free card here.
At Designmuseum Danmark you can see a number of interesting exhibitions during K7 (12-17 September). Among other things, you can experience the proud Danish design tradition in the exhibition THE MAGIC OF FORM, discover the wonderful objects of the collection in WONDER, get an insight into young designers’ proposals for the design solutions of the future in THE FUTURE IS PRESENT and cultivate the finest craftsmanship in the exhibition IN THE CRAFTSMANSHIP THE STORY COMES TO LIFE, which shows handmade Haruki Murakami books. If you need a break, there is 20% discount for students in the museum café and the green museum garden is open as always if you want to take a walk under the linden trees.
K7 is a nationwide initiative that makes Danish cultural institutions more accessible to the young audience. K7 is an open invitation to all young people, offering new cultural experiences and making museum and theater visits a little more spontaneous, accessible and non-binding – also for those who don’t often go to museums, theaters and classical concerts.
