Family Culture Night: Flowers
Friday, March 14, 4-8 PM
This March, Family Culture Night invites you to dive headfirst into a blooming world of design, colour, and creativity at Design Museum Danmark. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, this evening promises a fragrant mix of design, well-told design stories and hands-on fun.
GUIDED TOUR: FLORAL TREASURES
Are you familiar with Flora Danica or the iconic Blue Fluted pattern? This evening, both children and adults are invited on a guided tour through the museum’s florals. Led by one of the museum’s expert guides, you’ll discover a world of design while doing small exercises, that spark inspiration for the workshop, along the way.
Time: 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM, and 7 PM (Each tour starts on the hour and lasts 30 minutes)
Place: The Entrance Hall
WORKSHOP: DESIGN A FLOWER
In the Design Workshop, families can dive into a hands-on experience, creating textile flowers using recycled materials from Textilia (formerly De Forenede Dampvaskerier). Discover how everyday discarded fabrics, such as old napkins, can be repurposed into beautiful floral designs through simple crafting techniques. Participants are invited to design up to three flowers each, taking home a handmade textile bouquet.
Time: 4-8 PM
Place: Design Workshop
