100 years of Verner Panton

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Verner Panton’s birth, Designmuseum Danmark celebrates one of the most uncompromising figures in Danish design history. Throughout 2026, visitors are invited into Panton’s colorful universe, where the boundaries between art, furniture, and architecture are blurred.

TRYKKRAFT AWARDED BY THE DANISH ARTS FOUNDATION’S COMMITTEE

Designmuseum Danmark’s exhibition The Power of Print has been awarded by Statens Kunstfonds Legatudvalg for Kunsthåndværk og Design (the Danish Arts Foundation’s Committee for Crafts and Design), which each year selects works of particular artistic relevance to contemporary society. The award draws attention to a craft that has long stood in the shadow of more canonised design traditions, yet has left a lasting imprint on Danish design history.

Veronica Hodges’ artwork ‘The Golden Sky’ has taken new shape

Artist Veronica Hodges has created ‘The Golden Sky’ in collaboration with Designmuseum Danmark and its visitors. The collective artwork has taken new shape and forms part of the museum’s future program, Planet A.

The Danish designer Lise Vester has created a sculptural chandelier inspired by the lighthouse, which, with its distinctive light, sparks curiosity and invites reflection. In the coming period, museum visitors can experience the artwork Lighthouse and its magical, playful light in the museum’s library lounge, which is free to visit.
